Matters arising from previous minutes:

Jane hasn’t been able to speak to Mandy at Nature’s Harvest as Mandy hasn’t been in the shop when Jane has gone in. (Note: since the meeting, Jane has spoken to someone who knows what they want. They asked for the up to date leaflet which Jane will take in).

Nikki hadn’t been asked for an article for the November newsletter – we will contact her for the February newsletter.

Jean has collected the cakes from Janet at the farmers’ market ready for the quiz.

Jean and Jane both wrote articles for the November newsletter.

Officers’ reports:

Coordinators: Jean has been coordinating the quiz – approximately 40 people have said that they will be attending.

Jane has had confirmation that Linslade community hall is free for the bring and share meal on 20th January 2019.

Membership: Bob reported that we have two new members – Edward (267) and Heather (268).

Sterling: Jean reported that the sterling balance was unchanged at £209.97

Lots of Buzzards being traded this month (630 member to member and 730 if we include Organisation transactions), this is over a similar number of trades (93 this month as against 98 last month). Membership fee transfers were slightly up (80 against 50) and members “expenses” claims were lower this month 20 buzzards for 4 transactions. The Organisation Account balance gained 60 Buzzards.

Quiz

Sue will collect the key for Linslade Community Hall from Janet Miller.

Valerie: to be responsible for MK Lets trading. Janet (102): to be responsible for Hemplets trading.

Jean will take tea, coffee, milk and sugar.

Jane and Jean will take cakes etc.

Jane, Jean, Valerie, Sue and Rosemary will make the tea and coffee.

Bob will sort out prizes.

Jean will take money at the door.

Many thanks were given to Janet for the kind donation of cakes, quiches and sausage rolls.

Christmas tree festival

Due to a breakdown in communication, this had not been booked! We hope to enter a tree next year.

Future Events

Wreath Making: 9th December at Jane and Bob’s house. Details in the November newsletter. Jane will send an email out in a couple of weeks.

Bring and Share meal: 20th December at Linslade Community Hall. The final details will be sorted out at the next Open Meeting.

Any Other Business

Jean will send an email asking for a volunteer to host the next Open Meeting.

Jane will send a message asking for a volunteer to edit the February newsletter.

Rosemary has offered to host the meeting on a Wednesday in late February or March – date to be confirmed).

The meeting closed at 9:00pm
